A14 - WW2 German LP42 Flare Pistol

The LP-42 Leuchtpistole 42 Flare Gun. Manufactured from 1942, as a replacement for the Heeresmodell, it was made from a steel / zinc alloy and stamped to simplify costs and time for manufacture. Often used by tank crews and Luftwaffe personnel, it would fire the standard 27mm flare.
This example is manufactured by Schneide AG, Leipzig. It is stamped with code wa and is waffenamt. It is in good condition, with undamaged bakelite grips and working action. It is supplied with its lanyard and an excellent quality reproduction holster. A hard to find gun.
