A fine early war example, 1940 dated K98 manufactured by Erma with a 27 code. The gun is is in fine original condition and not a Russian capture weapon with its original blue finish and many Waffenamt WaA280 stamps correct for Erma. The numbers match between the main receiver, barrel, sight, sight leaf and bolt release which are all nicely Waffenamt. The laminated stock is in good condition with a slight indentation on the lower front wood where it looks like it has rested against a hot barrel. A nice hard to find 1940 dated German K98.
