A77 - WW2 US M1 carbine - National Postal Meter

A good WW2 US M1 carbine manufactured by National Postal Meter. The gun comes complete with adjustable sights, type 3 barrel band, low wood flat bellied stock, rotary safety, two rivet handguard and flat top bolt. Serial number is in the 4m range with a barrel dated 11-43 made by Underwood which is the correct date amd maker for this gun (National Postal Meter did not manufacture barrels). The metal work has its original pakerized finish, which is in very good condition and the walnut stock is in good condition with a few dings and dents from period use. There is a slight surface crack in the handguard and top of receiever, but nothing serious and quite common for a M1 carbine that has seen service use. A nice example of an M1 carbine.
