Design of the Mauser Model HSc started in 1934 at Mauser-Werke in Oberndorf am Neckar, as a replacement to the single-action Model 34. It finally went into production in December, 1940, with production finally reaching approximately 250,000 by the end of the war. Over half of these pistols were assigned to the Army (Heer).
This model was made for the German army with a 135 Waffenamt and Eagle over N firing proof. It has a serial number in the 800,000 range, making it mid war production. It is in very good condition, with undamaged wooden grips and full working double and single action. A hard to find pistol in good condition.
