1937 small pack in very good condition manufactured from dyed cotton webbing with brass fitings. Introduced in 1937 and used throughout WW2 by British and Commonwealth armies during WW2, this was standard issue until replacement by the 58 pattern webbing in 1958. This example is in good condition and 1941 dated and maker stamped SOC.

Introduced in the winter of 1914, rum, which was often mixed with tea, was used as a remedy against the effects of exposure to cold damp weather on the battelfield. The jar would hold 1 galllon of rum for 64 men and the rum ration would be approximatley 1/3 of a pint per man per week.

This is fine example of a British WW1 rum jar from the Longueval area of the the Somme battlefield. It is marked S.R.D., standing for Service Rations Depot, often known by the soliders as "Seldom Reaches Destination" or "Soon Runs Dry". The jar is in excellent condition with no major chips or flaws and carries a makers mark to the base.

A151 - US M1923 Olive Drab Ammunition Cartridge Belt
US Cartridge Belt for the M1 Garand, Springfield and P17 rifles. Manufactured from brass and heavy canvas web material in olive drab. This is the standard cartridge belt worn by GI's in WW2, with 10 -pockets each with a lift the dot fastener. Each pocket would contain a clip of 8 rounds for the Garand or two 5 round clips for the Springfield and the belt is adjustable for different waist sizes.

This example is in very good condition, with the US logo on the front and the M1923 designation to the reverse. There in no damage and only very slight staining from period use.

WW2 German Black leather Tool Pouch carried by Telephone/Signal Corps/Pioneers Engineers. Similar to MG Gunners Tool pouch, it is a little larger for carrying maintenance tools. The side carries a clear makers code fkx with a Waffenamt and 1942 date. There is also an ink stamp date to the inside. The pouch is in good condition, complete both belt loops and D-rings on rear for wearing on the belt which have very strong stitching. It has a central cover with two side flaps, one which has some lose stitching. The size is approx 25cm tall by 20cm wide and 7cm deep.

A84 - WW2 German Army 1931 Pattern zeltbahn with strap
Splinter Pattern army camouflaged Zeltbahn M31 issued to all units of the army, navy and airforce until 1945. Consisting of green and brown splintered design printed on a tan base with a disruptive "raindrop" design printed on top.
This is the standard design printed in lighter Spring colours on one side and more subdued Autumn colours on the other. It is in fair condition with some two holed areas, approx 2-3", from period wear. All the natural alloy buttons are in place, with signs of oxidation. The zeltbahn comes with a strap with an illegible ink stamp on. A honest wartime used zeltbahn.

A French T.C. 38 Gas Mask as issued to French troops and Civil Defence personnel before and during World War 2. Dated 1939, the mask predates the German invasion and almost certainly saw active-service. The rubberised canvas face-piece is in very good condition for its age, it is age-stiffened as they all are, but still flexible enough to be opened and displayed. The tinted cellulose eye-pieces are still clear and uncracked. The 1938-dated filter is in very good condition with no rust and over 95% of its olive-drab paint remaining, it comes complete with the original card cover seal for the screw-thread it was issued with and the stainless steel disk that originally closed the bottom-end of the filter when it was first issued. The carrying canister is in very good condition with no noticeable dents and 90% of its horizon-blue paint remaining, only the webbing carry-strap is damaged having snapped but all of it is still present. A very good condition mask, canister and filter with its original seals

A British Light Anti Gas Respirator as issued to commandos in WW2 and later issued to all British soldiers during the 1950s. This example is dated 1953 – the last year of the Korean war. The mask is marked L for large and in very good condition with all its straps. The 1952 filter is absolutely mint with no scratches to the paint work. The rubber and filters of post-war models such as this were upgraded to deal with new threats such as nerve-agents and nuclear material. It was these masks that British personnel wore during all of Britain’s nuclear tests during the 1950s. The mask comes complete with a 1944 dated haversack in which the owner has put his name and number. A very good condition mask and haversack from the WW2 / National Service era.

Mint WW2 Belgian L702 Gas Mask with seals

J17 - Mint WW2 Belgian L702 Gas Mask with seals
A Belgian L702 respirator issued shortly before WW2. The mask is in extremely good condition with no perishing or cracking to the rubber or Bakelite parts. The rubber is still flexible and the eyepieces clear. The filter retains 99% of its paint and is still sealed with the original paper closure taped to the canister and the description paper disk. Produced in large numbers for civilian and military use at the stage when all countries expected chemical weapons to be widely used in the next war, these are now becoming more scarce. Dated 1938 this is a mint condition piece of WW2 European history exactly as it was issued over 70 years ago.

The belt has a maker stamp and 1942 date in mint un-issued condition, supplied to Russia under lend lease but never issued.

Early WW2 British MkV Gas Mask

A British MkV gas mask as issued to frontline soldiers in WW2. Differentiated from the civilian models by the rubber tube, the mask is in good condition with its harness still in place and the hose and rubber mask still flexible and not perished. It comes complete with its carrying satchel in which the filter sits, the material is strong and good clean condition. The filter is also in good condition with no rust and much of its paint still remaining. Dated 1942 this is a fairly early war example since they were only introduced in the 1940s. A good condition example flexible enough for display or re-enacting.

Mint unissued WW1 US BAR gunners belt and pouches. Stamped with marker mark Long and 4-18 date to belt and both pouches. The belt has the cup on one side that allows the butt stock to res while shooting from the hip. No corrosion to metal or staining to the material. A great example.

A very good example of a Second World War machete manufactured by Martindale, complete with leather scabbard. The blade is approx 15 inch long, stamped with Martindale with an Aligator and the handle is approd 5" long, held together by 5 rivets with a War Office mark. The leather scabbard is in good condition for its age, with a war office SLI stamp and 1944 date. The machete handle retaining strap is strong and still supple, missing a small rivet. Overall in very good condition for the age and service use.

RJB01 WW2 German SS Zeltbahn (shelter quater)
This is a great example of an original SS Zeltbahn purchased from some years ago from the Ruptured Duck. It has vibrant green summer and brown fall colors in the oak leaf camouflage pattern, retains all of its zinc buttons and grommets. There is a small 1” hole towards the centre (please see pics) but the colors are still very vibrant and overall this zeltbahn is very clean with no other damge. There are even a few pieces of original rope. The overall condition is very good.
