I370- Early Named WW2 German M35 Army SD (ex DD) helmet

WW2 German M35 Single, Ex-Double Decal army helmet. This is a great early war helmet with a fine patina. Manufactured by Quist, it is stamped Q64 with batch number 549 on the rim. The early apple green paintwork is a good 70% with surface wear from period usage. The liner and chinstrap are original to the helmet and the liner is sound and has never been out. The chinstrap is maker coded with a 1938 date and the liner is manufactured from aluminium with the reinforcements around the chinstrap lugs. The liner is ink stamped 64 and both the liner and rim have been marked with the name Uffz. Beistle 23979. The heer decal is around 75% and is a ''big foot' decal, correct for a Quist helmet. There are traces of the tri-colour decal to the right of the helmet, which has been removed as per 1940 regulations. All together a fine desirable helmet with hard to find early apple green showing plenty of wartime use.
