A very good condition 1916 dated Short Magazine Lee Enfield rifle, the standard British combat rifle in the First World War, this example may well have seen service at the battle of the Somme which lasted until November 1916. It has excellent original woodwork with no cracks to the stock. It can be cocked, stripped and dry-fired and has a nice smooth action. 95% of original finish remaining. A nice original and historic example.
