Description

Standard issue WWII German 6×30 power binoculars, in ordnance tan, complete with original leather strap and leather uniform attachment. The binoculars are manufactured from metal alloy with molded brown Bakelite fittings.

Manufacturered by Voigtlaender and Sohn, Braunschweig, the right hand ocular is impressed with the designation Dienstglas 6×30 with serial number 317118, the maker code ddx and cold weather lubricant triangle.

The individual focus adjustment on the left still functions, but the right one can’t be adjusted. The lens bodies and end pieces retain most of their painted, tan finish. They have both molded bakelite eye sockets intact. The optics are in reasonable condition and like a lot of wartime optics could do with a clean. The leather strap and uniform attachment tab are both in good condition.

A fine used wartime pair.
