Description

The No.4 spike bayonet, often referred to by collectors as the “Pig Sticker”, was introduced during the Second World War for use with the British Lee-Enfield No.4 rifle. Its simple and robust design allowed for rapid mass production during wartime while remaining strong and effective in service. The bayonet was widely issued to British and Commonwealth forces throughout the war.

The bayonet features a cruciform spike blade designed for strength and rigidity, mounted to a steel socket with spring catch for secure attachment to the rifle. The utilitarian design reflected wartime manufacturing requirements and replaced the earlier sword-style bayonets used on previous rifles.

This example is in good condition with light signs of age and service wear. The finish shows some minor rubbing consistent with handling, and the release catch functions correctly. Complete with its scabbard.

The sale of knives, edged weapons and firearms is restricted to persons aged 18 or over. Age verification is required prior to purchase.
