Original WWII German Wehrmacht Throat Microphone – Kmf.b (Kehlkopfmikrofon)
Used in Panzer Tanks and Armored Vehicles

An excellent and complete example of the German Wehrmacht Kmf.b Throat Microphone (Kehlkopfmikrofon), issued to Panzer crews and personnel operating in armored vehicles during World War II.

The Kmf.b model was a later-war variant of the throat microphone, specifically designed for use in high-noise environments like tanks, where traditional microphones were ineffective. It was typically used in conjunction with the Dfh.b headset for crew communication via intercom or field radio systems.

This example is fully original and retains all of its wartime components, including:

  • The fabric-covered cable,

  • The Bakelite push-to-talk (PTT) switch unit, and

  • The wartime-correct 3-pin connection jack, used to interface with German vehicle communication systems.

All components are in very good condition, with only light surface wear and minimal corrosion. The throat microphone housing is clearly Waffenamt-stamped, confirming it as an officially accepted military issue item.

Unmodified and complete, this is a superb example of WWII German armored vehicle communications equipment, rarely found in such original and intact condition. A must-have for collectors of Panzer equipment or WWII German signal gear.
