An unquestionably real SS combat helmet.
This wear to the helmet, shows that it has seen real combat usage, with scuffs and scrapes expected from service usage.
It has most of it’s dark green mid wartime paint remaining.
The right hand side carries the SS decal, which has much intact. It is the Q pattern decal, which is correct for this helmet. All three liner rivets are in place and untouched. The leather liner is in good condition and has a slight shine from oiling. The helmet has a small part of the chinstrap remaining on one bale.
Manufactured by F.W. Quist, G.m.b.H. Esslingen and size 66 /59 with stamping Q66. The batch number is lightly struck so not possible to read, with either a DN or T prefix.
A great original combat used SS helmet, always hard to find.
