Description
Pre-war/wartime production MG13/MG34 gunner’s tool pouch in excellent condition. The Waffenamt stamp, normally found on the reverse, is difficult to make out due to scuffing on the leather.
This pouch was designed to carry the essential tools and spare parts required for field maintenance of the MG13 and MG34, replacing the earlier, bulkier tool kits. With the later introduction of the MG42, many pouches were internally adapted to accommodate both MG34 and MG42 Kreiskorn (spider sights).
This example is complete, retaining the rare, riveted wooden Kreiskorn/sight holder, as well as the internal leather strap and spring for the ruptured case remover—a fully equipped and highly desirable configuration.
Constructed of blackened leather, this pouch features the early strap configuration typical of pre-war gunner’s pouches. Both fold-over flaps are strong and intact, along with the vertical leather closure strap and steel stud closure. The leather remains in good condition, with strong belt loops and a sound overall structure.
Note: A small MG34 part shown in the photos is for reference only and is not included in the sale.
A solid, complete example in very good condition, ideal for display or kit restoration. These pouches are increasingly hard to find—especially with all internal fittings present. A valuable collectible for serious WWII German militaria enthusiasts.
