Description
British L1A3 bayonet with scabbard and white ceremonial frog for the L1A1 Self Loading Rifle (SLR). This pattern bayonet was designed for use with the L1A1 rifle and was widely used by British armed forces during the Cold War period.
The bayonet is housed in a No.5 Mk I steel-throated scabbard, a pattern originally introduced during the Second World War with the No.5 bayonet before later versions adopted a brass throat. This type of scabbard was used with several British bayonet patterns including the No.5, No.7, No.9, and later L1 series bayonets.
The bayonet remains in good used condition overall and displays well. The tip has been re-ground, a fairly common feature as the original tips were sometimes damaged during service use. Accompanied by its white ceremonial frog.
The sale of knives, edged weapons and firearms is restricted to persons aged 18 or over. Age verification is required prior to purchase.
