Description

A very hard to find helmet.

Helmets provided to the Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) came from other branches of the German armed forces, predominantly from the Heer. In many period photos RAD soldiers are seen wearing Heer and Luftwaffe helmets and as such they were never produced at factory level for the RAD and are quite commonly seen applied on top of the factory placed decals.

This is a good example. The paintwork is sound with a good 70% remaining covering the shell. The interior features a tired but original size 57 liner with a string drawstring. It has a single non-reinforced zinc liner band has no damage or repairs. The side of the interior of the shell is marked hkp64, The batch number in the rear of the skirt is 13746.

The RAD decal has been placed over a standard army decal. Both exhibiting sign of wear.
