Description
Original WWII MG34 gunner’s tool pouch, maker-marked Karl Barth, Waldbröl, dated 1940, with a clear Waffenamt stamp.
This pouch was designed to carry the essential tools and spare parts needed for MG34 and MG42 field maintenance, replacing the larger, bulkier tool kits of earlier designs. With the introduction of the MG42, the internal layout was updated to accommodate both MG34 and MG42 Kreiskorn (spider sights).
This example is complete, retaining the rare, riveted wooden Kreiskorn/sight holder, along with the internal leather strap and spring for the ruptured case remover—a fully equipped and highly desirable configuration.
Constructed of blackened leather, with a fold-over flap, vertical leather closure strap, and steel stud closure. The leather remains in good condition, with strong fastening strap, belt loops, and flap integrity.
A solid and complete example in very good condition, ideal for display. These are increasingly hard to find, especially with all internal fittings present—an important and collectible item for serious WWII German militaria enthusiasts.
